Recycle - Reuse - Reduce

Bei Tags Alpargatas geht es nicht darum, mit Schlagworten wie „nachhaltig“ zu werben, sondern um eine echte Wertschätzung für Materialien, Handwerk und Ressourcen. Unsere Espadrilles werden in Mexiko von erfahrenen Kunsthandwerkerinnen und Kunsthandwerkern gefertigt – mit traditionellen Techniken und aus robusten, langlebigen Materialien.

Wir glauben daran, dass Produkte ein langes Leben verdienen und somit seltener neu gekauft werden muss - auch das ist Nachhaltigkeit. Deshalb ermutigen wir unsere Kundinnen, ihre Tags so lange wie möglich zu tragen, sie zu pflegen und kreativ weiterzunutzen – zum Beispiel mit dem Tags 2 Flowerpot-Projekt. Alte Espadrilles verwandeln sich in blühende Hängetöpfe, statt im Müll zu landen.

Mit dem Tags 2 Tote Recycling Programm bieten wir eine kreative Art des Recycelns an: Schickt uns eure alten Tags zu, wir waschen den Stoff und nähen daraus einzigartige Tote-Bags, die wir im Shop verkaufen.

Welcome to our recycling program "Tags 2 Tote"

At TAGS Alpargatas , we believe that every product deserves a second chance. With our "Tags 2 Tote" program, we give worn-out espadrilles a new life - as unique bags that combine sustainability and social commitment.

This is how it works:

Returns: Customers can return their old espadrilles to us ( request free return or use the contact form below)

Recycling: The materials of the shoes – supplemented by residual materials from our production – are reused. Unfortunately, we cannot recycle the soles, but we dispose of them properly.

Local support: The bags are made here in Germany in social workshops. These workshops support people in difficult life situations, such as the homeless, addicts or people with disabilities. Through production, we not only promote sustainability, but also local initiatives and give people a perspective.

Direct support for Mexico: The bags are made in social workshops in Germany, and part of the proceeds go back to Mexico to support the production and training of the craftsmen there.

Why do we do this?

  1. Sustainability: We reduce waste and extend the life cycle of our materials.

  2. Local commitment: By manufacturing in social workshops in Germany, we are making a contribution to supporting local people.

  3. Support for craftsmanship: With every purchase, we invest in the preservation and further development of the traditional art of shoemaking in Mexico.

Statt deine ausgetragenen Tags Alpargatas wegzuwerfen, kannst du sie in charmante Hängeblumentöpfe verwandeln! Mit ein paar einfachen Schritten bringst du Farbe und Leben in deinen Garten oder auf deinen Balkon.

  1. Espadrille an die Wand nageln – Die Schuhe werden zur dekorativen Pflanzentasche.
  2. Mit Erde befüllen – Eine nährstoffreiche Blumenerde sorgt für ideales Wachstum.
  3. Samen einstreuen – Wir liefern dir eine Auswahl wunderschöner, bunter Blumensamen.
  4. Gießen & staunen – Schon bald wächst aus deinem alten Schuh ein kleines Blumenparadies!

Das ist nachhaltig, kreativ und einzigartig – perfekt, um deinen Tags eine zweite Blütezeit zu schenken.
